So my friends and I decided on a whim to play through the game legitly from A1 all the way to A5 hell mode and we did it. I was surprised at how much fun it was, how quickly we leveled, and overall how easy it was. It was the three of us, one friend played an ice orb sorc (literally would die every 2 seconds) my other friend played a summon nec, and I played a trap assassin (normally i wouldn't condone traps but it's not for pvp purposes)

It was a fun break from dealing with the 12 year olds in duel games and I think we've now joined the maybe 1 percent who have legitly played through all of diablo2, no trading for gear or giving it from our higher level chars and using only what we could obtain ourselves.

Anyway figure I would make the invitation since I'm on a diablo2 kick right now, anybody else play diablo2 or have played through D2 legitamently. I'm a pvp guy myself so send me a whisper if you want to duel or need help w/ anything account name is xXLinkxXx

i don't remember how far i got on nightmare, but even then, that was all online with whatever people were willing to give me. of course, this was also like 7 years ago and id say ive changed quite a bit from then. in fact, i think ill go on ahead and install it now

Abbott, that thread is 2 years old I'd say a new one IS in order.

Also, I'm only like level 30 in D2

I LOVED d2, I always played as a druid. I beat the whole game without trading gear. Only what i could find. I had a blast

Yo Lightning, I happen to have my D2 cds so I can definately play this. I don't have my expansion though, my friend took it >:C but I love her so it's all good.

If you guys have the expansion and I don't, we can still play together right? It's just that I can't make the classes or what?

Yeah we could play together, we'd just have to start ours from the regular D2 disk/shortcut instead of the expansion.

actually, when you make a character, you uncheck the box that says "Expansion Character"
