I've finally made some headyway into the new terrain/level voxel technology. I just need to clean up what I've done and enable editing of it to make sure it still works properly.

Screenshots will come after I get far enough to make you guys a few caves and tunnels.

The editing system I want to do will be in-game. Meaning you can edit the level then play the level all in one go. Maybe even incorporate a pause ability to change parameters and keep going.


Before that happens I need to settle on a good GUI system which most of what I've found I simply don't like. I'm about to try QuickGUI as that matches a little more with what I hope to accomplish so we'll see. I may end up writing my own.

It should be pretty simply to pull off. In edit mode we either reset the level and allow you to edit and then replay it or maybe have it pause all entities (really easy to do).

Non-exciting update. Been working on cleaning up the engine codebase and refactoring the sound part of it. Thinking over triggers to see what the best way to go about them is and also going to set an internal callback in the physics library so entities can know they collided with something more easily.

I plan on integrating a new gui system and beginning the actual construction of Project Euclid instead of mini-samples.

An editor may be a little further off. Hopefully some screenshots/videos won't be that far off though.

You could design levels in blender and export them into ogre meshes (ogre3d being the graphics engine we use).

Or in general design/export models for me. Like your Tri-Eye would be cool to have exported.

I might mess around with Blender. I used Thermite whatever and I really couldn't do crap with it, so maybe I'll see what I can do with Blender instead.
