Textures should be powers of 2... 128x128, 256x256, etc.
Still need some of the concept artists to design a basic level in terms of style. Need some concepts of the geoms as well. Cube, Pyramid (Tri-Eye), Sphere. Obviously I know how geoms look but if a concept artist can come up with colors/styles of them that would be cool.
I have explosions working, though they aren't that eye catching but on trial and error I did a cool little jet stream/current/teleporter effect.
alright so given the description by lawyer this is what i came up with on the tryeye so far. i think asceth wants it to be easy on the graphics card so i might need to redo the uvspheres for the eyes.
now this is some thing that i put together in 5 minuets not some thing like this that i put weeks in to.
Like the tri-eye and a simple model like that should be fine graphics wise. I'm really just looking to make the modelers job as hard as he/she wants it to be.
Digital Land Ideas:
- Standard hilly terrain with digital feel
- Cube type complex
- "Realistic world" in a digital view
- 3d representation of retro platforms (like paper mario)
- super mario galaxy traversal of sub worlds/objects
Maybe a large plane with random outcroppings on it?
Something like that. Maybe make them set up like that as if in a ruinous or incomplete state but make them squares, triangles, etc. instead of looking like an actual ruined building or something.
Also, I think the tri-eye sounds okay, but what about something simpler like "Trye"?
