Nope objectives are whatever we can come up with. The only concept I'm using from L4D is the AI Director for Geom control.

So right now we know:

- Decent amount of players
- Geoms are controlled by AI
- Geoms infect you by absorbing into your body
- Digital world feel but real life weapons
- Fast paced combat/gameplay


Feel free to dispute/add, I'm just summarizing. We need to know what type of objectives the players are trying to accomplish. And we can have different game types depending on the level so come up with as many as you want.


Also what we're doing now is trying to flesh out how the game should work or at least to the point where we can get enough information to construct a prototype to test to see if we like it.

Well... I'm thinking of some objective modes:
1. Attack/Defend [Defending point A and then at the end of the final wave or time limit, Players attack to point B.]
2. Destruction [Players destory certain objects vital to the Geom Master.]
3. Point A/B [Bascially like L4D's gameplay; Players start from point A and must get to Point B.]

That's all I got.

Those all seem rather generic, but I have yet to come up with anything else.

Well of course they're going to seem generic. They're the most basic of the basic concepts. Where it gets more unique is later on when you're trying to figure out what goes on in between point A and B or what you destroy, etc. etc. And then you will likely have a combination of those things.

Objectives should be generic because its up to level designers to use those objective types to design their levels.

5. Capture Points [Players must take over certain areas, geoms will try to recapture area]
