Initial ideas were either a ZM type of game play or a L4D type of game play. Try to imagine yourself playing the game, what would you, the player, be doing?

I would prefer L4D gameplay as it's more fast paced and to myself I find fast paced gameplay more appealing.

Asceth you mentioned Geometry wars mixed in aswell, would it be that you are basically able to die in one hit and have a certain number of lives?

Would it be that you have to dodge the Zombies that could sort of resemble shapes with legs? Some variation among them and for the ZM type someone would be controlling the mobs from a top view perspective?

Basically, the main components of a game/mod needs to be orignal... we can't just take all of a game's ideas towards another.

I could imagine this game as if I was playing "Mistake of Pythagoras." It's not multiplayer, but it's an excellent single-player mod, even though the main idea is based around a mathematician philosophy.

If I could imagine this as if it was made in ZM... we would be in a digital world [unless somehow the Geom Master is able to control in the real world], not like TRON or anything like that; more like a world that is somehow real but actually fake, and the objective for the survivors is to reach a certain safe point [like L4D]. Real world guns would be indeed included [example is like a M16 or 9MM Handgun], but then we could include some exotic weapons that are found in the "digital" world.

The Geom Master could be a player; basically controls the Geometric enemy units... Maybe give the player like a few advantages like... able to see the survivors through walls [wall hacks], to be able to spawn a certain type of unit [particually a badass unit] anywhere on the field [cooldown included of course], or control or see through one of his units through first person. Then when he's taken down one of the survivors, he can use that player to control one of his units to eliminate the others... [Idea came from Troy: Divine Playground where the player would be a ghost and take control one of the NPCS. Once the player has died, he/she would simply find another NPC to take control.]

I like the idea lawyer but I'm wondering if we should do L4D style geom control to keep it extremely fast paced like Fred mentioned. And instead of dying or taking damage if we have a sorts of digital world we could instead have the geoms infect you. This would basically be that a geom is absorbed into your body once it touches you (could have a fade effect to allow teammates to save you at the last minute) and once enough geoms do this you "die".

That's how I invision them "attacking" you and there could be other attacks that don't damage you but instead limit you in another way.

A fast pace would suit this game well, I imagine it something like this with more of a L4D style of level/pace.

So like having a certain percent [or amount] of Geoms that infect you till you die...

Alright, I think I get it. So since it's going to be a L4D style, would that mean there would be a certain amount of players? I mean, if this is going to go L4D style, would that mean there would be 4 Survivors VS 1 Geom Master?

4 seems a little low...Also is the "Geom Master" as you call it a definite now?

Yeah should have more players, by L4D style I don't mean the current player amount in L4D.

By L4D I mean no actual player controls/spawns the Geoms. It is done by an "AI Director" or pre-defined spawn points.

There shouldn't be a low player limit and we could technically scale the amount of geoms based on player size.

1000 vs 1!... Nah.

Ok. Ok. So objectives will be just like L4D though, right? Just get from point A to point B or things gonna change to our liking?
Because what I'm imagining, if we're doing the same idea as L4D, I think it wouldn't bring much attention due to repetition [and I don't mean playing the game over and over. It will feel like it's already been done.]
