Zombie Panic serious lag

hey and greetings to everyone here. I just paid for a dedicated server (Australia) for a month and had no trouble setting up Zombie but for some reason it lags severely after 10 people join. I want to set up my max to 20 but it just goes downhill and unplayable. Server has ample amount of grunt to carry more than 10 players. Is it the mod? or something I'm missing. Running the sever using Linux..should I change to Windows? I would really appreciated anyone's advice.

My server has no noticeable lag issues and I have around 15 slots on it. To my knowledge, it should run fine on both windows and linux. It's probably the host. They could be putting too many games on your machine, or they have a very slow connection speed. Who is your host?
