Recently, I have been thinking up new ideas for map in the past few weeks during my idle hours of dragging through the slow process of which they call 'school'. I wish to present my thoughts for new maps or concepts for new maps. I know that most of the mapping team is currently (I believe) working on Project Nightmare (which I wish them the best of luck to them, the current progress look phenomenal), but all I want to do is bring up a few fresh ideas for the developers to think about. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this as most as possible with the newest map concepts.

Iced

Stranded in a frozen region of Alaska, you and a group of hunters are now the hunted. You'll not only need to survive the zombies but also the fierce winter storm.

Objectives

Start a fire to ensure you don't freeze to death
Find the overturned sled with the weapons
Find the emergency flares and signal help
Survive for 3 minutes until help arrives

Trap Ideas

Tents that can be blown over by the wind (these could've been used as protection from the storm had the flares not been found), Ice Crevases, Invisible Banshees (white snow + see-through banshees = mass chaos, perfect for the ZM), hidden gas tank located by the weapons, the Ice Weather (a.k.a killer weather) *Ice Weather is automatic as soon as survivors leave the tents (which double as spawns)*

Weapons

Shotguns, Rifles, and crowbars (I recommend 5 Shotties, 8 rifles and 4 crowbars)

Notes- I'd love to see this map happen because this is very original and no one would ever think of the arctic/tundra as a place for zombies.

I'm working on a concept for a Funeral Home in the meantime. I'll hopefully update this tomorrow with a new idea.

Lets see what I got for today..... *rummages through some papers*
Here we go...:

Bridgewater Highschool

In the middle of a zombiefied town, the workers at a local high school have been barred in because of a recent zombie outbreak. After running out of supplies, they have decided to escape while destroying the source of the zombie crisis.

Objectives

Turn back on the power
Locate the security booth
Search the school grounds for an entrance to the underground caves
*Multi Part Goal*
Destroy the caves- Find explosives, Locate the remote detonator, Escape to the surface

Traps

Cave In, Banshee spawns (obviously), Security Booth door slams shut (if timed right, results in a survivor eing crushed), Gas the Booth, random pits opening in the cave system.

Weapons

I recommend all, but very limited ammo for the mac-10s and rifles (like 2 boxes each for 2 guns each)

Notes- This is still a work in progress, I'll be updating this if sought fit. My inspiration for this was just my high school. I dream every day of my town coming under a zombie attack. The caves, I do stress for anyone attempting to make this map, make it a random cave system with twists and turns, I don't want a straight-foward tunnel with 2 outlets for zombies, no. I want a cave system that will leave anyone who plays a bit confused so that they will have to play the map over and over to memorize it. The entrance to the caves, I have imangined, would've been a simple hole in the ground, maybe a 10 foot frop into water, that would serve as the way to get in, this way, once the survivors are all in, they gotta do it with what they have. This also create a sense to conserve ammo, a realistic part of surviving an outbreak. For a way of getting back out of the caves, simple, put a hole somewhere else (out of the way of course) that leads out.

Thats a really good idea but i've seen a movie like that except not with zombies but some alien thing that takes over people's bodies, adn the high school kids are the only ones that know, the adults don't believe them when they tell them.

Streets

(No description about the map in general, it can be given throughout the objectives part of the map info)

Objectives

Locate the Gun Shop (Obviously for weapons, but also crowbars that are needed to break into the doors of City Hall. It'll be located in about a block west of City Hall and 2 blocks North of the starting point.)

Travel to City Hall (When broken into, the survivors have two choices, they can either stay by the online computer and turn off the gas that leaked outside *which is deadly to anyone not inside City Hall* or, they can take an underground passageway with about 5 spawns, its narrow and will defnitely cause trouble for anyone trying to use it as a route to MegaCorp. Also, the survivors must recover the Key to the City to unlock the doors *underground tunnel door and main entrance door* of MegaCorp. This place is located about 2 blocks North and 1 block East of the starting point)

Get inside MegaCorp (This is where the survivors need to recover the President's key to unlock the lab testing areas which were responsible for the zombie outbreak. The survivor's again have two choices, they can either take the elevator to the top floor or take the stairs to the top floor. Once the key is recovered, they can then descend into the lower levels to the lab testing areas. It should be noted without warning that the survivors still have a tough final objective ahead of them. This place is located 3 blocks West of City Hall if survivors don't travel on foot)

Find the Cure (Completing this objective will result in an automatic win for the survivors. However, they will need to find 2 security checkpoints to unlock the main lab. Once they grab hold of the serum, survivors win. However, there will be plenty of traps and spawn for the ZM to stop the survivors at whatever cost.)

Traps

Random Banshees in City Hall and MegaCorp.

Traps Cont'd

Gun Powder Explosion in Gun Shop (backroom with weapons that are just begging to be picked up by those without one)

Elevator Failure in MegaCorp. (an expensive, but possibly huge payout for ZM if lazy survivors decide the elevator's quicker.)

Activate Hidden Spawns in City Hall, Underground Tunnel and Lab Testing Area.

Electrical Failure in City Hall/Underground Tunnel (Easy way to distract survivors in the Underground Tunnel, causing *maybe* some to head back up into the computer room)

Falling Chandlier (any replica of it) or Statue in City Hall Lobby (must be timed right, very limited range of kill zone)

Chemical Explosions in Lab Testing Areas (not only damages survivors on impact, but also fills the room with a gas that slowly saps away any survivors health)

Notes- I'm considering this the new One Small Shamble for ZM. It may be the next big but well thought-out map to date. Now, I'm trying not to get my hopes up for this map, as it is a bit complicated in thought as well objective-wise. However, if a map designer takes his time creating this map, it could very well be an awesome map to play on. More notes on this to come.

This idea's gonna need a lot of patience to make and a lot of patient people to play.

Abandoned

When You Wake Up, You Will Find Out You Have Been Displaced. You Will Wake Up And Find Other People Who Have Been Displace. You Will Need To Work With These Strangers.
Objectives

Zone 1- The Office
Hack The Computer (Will take 3 Minutes) (Allows Access Codes to Zones 3 and 4) (Needs Zone 2's Generator First)
Turn off the Spawn Shields (Will allow Zones 3 and 4 to leave their spawn zones) (Needs Zone 2's Generator to be on first)
Head to the Teleporter (All other goals need to be completed first!!)

Zone 2- The Basement
Turn on the generator
Wait for it to warm up (1 Minute Waiting Period) (Once Generator's done, Zone 1 can send the access codes, and Zone 3 and 4 have light)
Head to the Teleporter (All other goals need to be completed first!!)

Zone 3- The Company
Find The Access Codes (Need Spawn Shields off from Zone 1)(Need Light From Zone 2)
Send The Access Codes (Zone 4's Goals can be completed)
Head to the Teleporter (All other goals need to be completed first!!)

Zone 4- The Lab
Turn On The Teleporters To All Zones (Take 2 Minutes to Start-Up)
Use The Access Codes To Give Coordinates to Teleporters (Needs All Other Goals Completed)
Head To The Teleporter

Sidenotes- First Off, The Order the goals go is Zone 2 first, then Zone 1, Then 3 and finally 4. Please remember to make that in that particular order or the map will fail. Second, For Each Zone DO NOT MAKE ALL THE PEOPLE SPAWN IN ONE AREA!!! This Map is Specially Designed to Make it so each zone has 3-4 people. Thus, TEAMWORK IS AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT IN THIS MAP. 1 VERY BIG problem!

What if only a few people play this map and no one ends up in a required zone?
