First and foremost, this is not an April Fools Joke. Second this will probably be the last (or next to last) "News" post you will see. Why? Because this sort of stuff belongs in a development weblog not on the front page. However we use what we have so far so here it goes.

We've rolled out a number of bug fixes, please see this thread for more information.


We are planning a good number of features but just to give you some ideas (nothing is set in stone):

* User Game Reviews/Ratings
* User Map Reviews/Ratings
* Conversational PM's (means better interface, easier to follow)
* User Groups/Networks
* Integrate SourceBans into GameSyn for awesomer features
* New Color Schemes

So what does this mean to you? Well first you can give us feedback by voting and posting in this thread and then you can complain when its taking too long for your favorite feature to get us working overtime.

Scheduled maintenance for GameSyn is now over and it brings a fresh new look to the table. A fresh start you could call it but we see it as a bench mark in our history as a community. Think of it as a birthday present to all you committed users new and old as we have reached GameSyn's one year anniversary.

With the introduction out of the way there are a few important things you should pay attention to:

A problem in converting user names over to our new forum base has caused a few mandatory name edits. We will be emailing those users that need a change as fast as we can. Also with name changes prompts the next important note.

With all this new change in the GameSyn's look we are going to extend a chance for all you users to change your look as well. We will be offering a one time deal to be able to change your user names if your unhappy with your name or wish to update for any reason. Details will be posted as soon as mandatory changes noted above are taken care of.

With any huge change such as this there are bound to be a few bugs as we get things sorted out so we ask you to be patient as we work out the kinks. We also ask you to report any bugs you see to either asceth or Dman757 to help fix them as soon as possible.

On behalf of the administrators we would like to give our thanks to all you users that have kept this community alive for us to have this monumental change be possible.
